Rustic and simple in conception but well crafted and high minded in execution, Taverna brings to Newark a casual sophistication that sees reclaimed wood and exposed brick on the wall. Polished marble rest atop the overstretched bar which boasts eighteen draft beers and the state’s first ever “tapped wine” system.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Strong communication and listening skills to accurately take customers' food & drink ordersCan interpret guest’s desires and provide recommendations
Have a detailed knowledge of menu items
Work closely with management to create a pleasant dining experience
Enjoys providing great hospitality
Qualifications:
Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a respectful, warm presence
Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
2 years’ Server experience preferred
Attention to cleanliness and safety
Open availability including nights and weekendsKnowledge of a second language is a plus
