Job Duties:

• Set up fresh meat cases and ensure products have the proper signage. Maintain an attractive product display to showcase freshness and quality, while following company standards for merchandising

• Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury

• Unload and break down deliveries; stock freezers with products; refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness

• Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with the policies of the company, state food safety, and health regulations 

• Arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products, rotate products using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method

• Provide excellent service to the customer and answer any questions or concerns the customer may have

• Work with other team members to conduct the inventory count

• Follow the company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer. Follow company policy to clean and sanitize display cases, scales, and counters in a safe manner

• Cut, wrap, and package items at customers’ request in a way that is efficient, and accurate

• Perform other duties for business needs

Minimum Requirement: 

• Previous meat department experience is preferred

• Knowledge of general meat product lines or similar experience

• Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules

Skills Requirement:

• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members

• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies

• Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation

Physical Demands:

• Standing in place for a long period of time, bending to pick up items, and kneeling regularly

• Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment

• Able to work occasionally with environment temperatures ranging from 32º to 50 ° F

Employment Type: Part-Time

Salary: 

The pay range for this job is $18 / Hr. - $19 / Hr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
