Responsibilities:
Review and prepare workflow, labor and space requirements, and action plans for the department while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Daily communication / coordination with direct reports and Management to establish an action plan to tackle the workload for the day and week
Abide by all company policies and ensure direct reports are in line with all policies
Manage a team of 10-15 reports (including outside labor)
Effective labor planning to minimize or eliminate overtime
Maintains warehouse staff productivity by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Work closely with Merchandising department to resolve any issues that arise with inbound shipments
Prioritize container unloading schedule based on product priorities
Minimize container demurrage and per diem fees by effectively planning for incoming volume as well as labor necessary
Delegate workload to employees as needed in order to most effectively accomplish all tasks
Analyze existing business processes and identify areas of improvement
Provide additional support to DC Management team as needed
Training and providing support for new employees

Requirements:
3-5 years minimum warehouse supervisory experience
Food warehouse experience preferred
Ability to obtain a CA Food Handlers Card within 30 days of new hire date
Experience operating a pallet jack and forklift is required
Data processing, reporting and analytical skills
Computer skills: Google Office Suite (Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc)
ERP and WMS Experience
Willing to work occasionally in environmental temperature ranges from 32° to 50°F
Able to frequently carry objects up to 50 lbs.
Available to work at flexible schedules (weekends & holidays)
Bilingual in English / Chinese is Preferred
