We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI and Azure Data Lake technologies to help build, manage, and analyze large-scale data systems and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow, and delivering actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and reports. You will need strong technical skills in data engineering, proficiency in Azure cloud services, and experience creating interactive and insightful Power BI reports for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Lake and related Azure services.
- Develop, manage, and optimize ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and create Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
- Implement data modeling best practices in Power BI to ensure data integrity and ease of use.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues and performance bottlenecks within Azure data systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement data requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure data security and compliance standards are met when working with sensitive business data.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Power BI, including report and dashboard development.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and other Azure data-related services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Experience with ETL and data pipeline development, specifically within an Azure environment.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Experience in data integration and transformation for business analytics.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or Spark for data manipulation and processing.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or other cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance practices and security protocols.
- Experience with machine learning or AI-driven analytics platforms (a plus).
