Title: Enrolled Agent
Location: Remote ( Hybrid schedule preferred but not required - position is based out of Encino, CA location)
Status: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Total Compensation: Starting base salary between $70,000 - $100,000/yr w2 Employee Benefits (Please note: Starting base pay amount is based on the extent of position-relevant experience)
Submission Requirements: Active Enrolled Agent License is required for this position. All candidates must include a copy of their certification along with their professional resume to qualify for consideration.

Tax Relief Helpers is seeking a licensed Enrolled Agent to join our elite tax resolution team! As a licensed Enrolled Agent at Tax Relief Helpers, you will be the expert and advocate for clients facing complex tax issues. Your primary role is to represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities, providing strategic advice and resolutions that offer long-term financial relief. With a focus on client success, you will utilize your deep understanding of tax law to negotiate and achieve favorable outcomes, all while ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest professional standards.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Representing clients in interactions with the IRS and state tax authorities, handling negotiations and appeals.
- Assess, develop and execute tailored tax resolution strategies by identifying issues and opportunities to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of tax laws, strategies, and resolution plans to clients, ensuring they understand their options.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all client interactions and case progress, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, adjusting strategies and advice accordingly.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team to ensure a seamless transition from client onboarding to resolution.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Required Experience: 3-4 years of professional experience ( new Enrolled Agents also acceptable upon proof of extensive position-relevant knowledge.)
- Documented experience in Resolution is required.
- Required Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Required License:
- An active Enrolled Agent License is required. (Copy of Enrolled Agent License must be included with Resume to be deemed qualified and considered further)
- Required Experience:
- Documented experience in Resolution is required.
- Required Communication Skills:
- Thorough understanding of tax law.
- Extensive experience in tax resolution, with a proven track record of successfully representing clients before the IRS.
- Extensive knowledge in tax preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in terms of Resolution. Ability to build trust and effectively explain complex tax matters to clients.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accountability and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Team players who are willing to share insights and strategies to enhance overall team performance.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language skills: Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred.
- Location: Ability to come into the office in Encino, California 1 day / week is preferred.
