Job Summary :
Lead fraud detection strategies here at TaxSlayer. Design and implement sophisticated fraud detection systems using advanced analytics and machine learning to identify suspicious patterns and ensure filing integrity. Partner with security, product, and compliance teams to build robust fraud prevention controls.
Core Responsibilities :
- Fraud Detection & Investigation : Design and implement real-time fraud detection systems to identify suspicious filing patterns and behaviors Develop and maintain fraud scoring models to accurately identify high-risk filings and accounts Create automated detection rules for known fraud patterns and emerging threats Conduct forensic analysis of suspicious transactions and account activities
- Pattern Analysis & Prevention : Build and maintain ML models to detect emerging fraud patterns and attack vectors Analyze historical fraud cases to identify common characteristics and indicators Design and update rules engines based on new fraud trends and patterns Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of fraud prevention measures
- Platform Security Collaboration : Partner with security, product, and development teams to recommend and implement fraud prevention controls Work with product teams to build security features that prevent fraud
- Analytics & Reporting : Create comprehensive fraud monitoring dashboards using Power BI and Snowflake Generate regular reports on fraud patterns and prevention metrics Develop KPIs for fraud detection effectiveness Analyze trends in fraudulent activities and attack patterns Prepare detailed fraud investigation reports for management and legal teams
