Taycor Financial is an equipment finance company headquartered in Irvine, CA, founded over 30 years ago. Taycor champions small and medium-sized businesses by providing financing with continued concierge-style service, guidance, and access to capital through our dedicated team of finance professionals.
Our Credit team analyzes commercial customers to determine creditworthiness and credit limit. Credit Analysts will underwrite, decision, and structure 15-25 small-mid ticket transactions per day. Most transactions will be “app-only”, primarily analyzing a potential customer’s personal and commercial credit history. In addition to a strong understanding of risk mitigation, Credit Analysts must also be highly collaborative, working closely with both Sales and Funding teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and ensure financing requests are underwritten accurately and in a timely fashion
- Determine and provide guidance on creative financing structures with varying lease size and terms, based on the circumstances and business opportunity of the applicant
- Coordinate the daily workflow of transactions and demonstrate strong team collaboration
- Facilitate and obtain required additional information from customers as applicable
- Directly underwrite transactions in accordance with individual credit pen authority and present transactions to credit committee above such authority
- Work closely and collaborate with the AVP of Credit and Senior Management Team in decision making
- Maintain confidential customer and company records and sensitive information
- Evaluate and research vendors and assets for each approved transaction
- Maintain highest levels of customer service with vendors, customers, internal departments and lenders
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Agile, all hands-on deck personality, able to work with ebbs and flows as needed and thrives in a no day is ever the same environment
- Able to review, understand, analyze and evaluate financial statements and tax returns
- Detail oriented and organized
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative internal and external communication
- Proficiency with MS Office required
- Salesforce CRM experience a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment interacting with all levels of management
- Ambitious in personal growth and development as a business professional
- Ability to build rapport, cooperation and establish strong relationships
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or commensurate experience preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial credit underwriting experience
- Experience underwriting middle/large ticket sized transactions preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May be required to lift up to 15 pounds at times
