What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Leader Maintenance position at TAYLOR ANTHONY 365 LLC?
Overview:
The Crew Leader is responsible for supervising 1-3 crew members for both our high-end residential and commercial Lawn maintenance clients. They are responsible for balancing the workload, preparing, and securing all tools and materials, assigning tasks, ensuring that all jobs are completed with high quality and within a budgeted time. Through on the job training and other training tools, train crew members to do their job effectively and efficiently, always maintain and promote safe working conditions in the field, conduct and document safety tailgate meetings weekly with crew. Professional Image: maintain clean, neat and professional image of service vehicle and trailer, ensure crews maintain professional image at all times. Perform pre-trip inspection on truck and trailer: load gas cans, mowers and other equipment onto trucks/trailers, secure all equipment, maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment. Develops a deep understanding of the quality standards for lawn maintenance and landscaping projects to meet or exceed the standards of our clients and our company. Perform maintenance on equipment: Unload equipment from Taylor Anthony 365 trucks/trailers, wash equipment and truck.
Duties:
Equipment/Truck/Trailer Maintenance
- Fill mowers and other equipment with Gas. Secure all equipment safely in trailer.
- Check tire pressure, proper trailer connection, and ensure all lights are in working condition. Grease mower spindles; check oil in truck, mowers and clean air filters. If something is not in good working order, report immediately to your supervisor.
- Ensure proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of the crew.
- Unload or load equipment, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc.
- Wash or blow dirty equipment {including all mower decks} and return to storage location. We want to avoid transferring chinch bugs or any fungus to other customers’ yards. Report damaged or broken equipment to your operations Manager immediately.
- Fill truck, mowers, equipment, and cans with gas in preparation for the next day (or as necessary)
Scheduling
- Report 15 minutes prior to regular start time to prepare/review the day’s work with your supervisor.
- Design and implement a completion strategy for each property to ensure we are maximizing resources and minimizing the time required to complete each job e.g., who should mow, how many should weed eat, who should trim hedges, etc. Meet budgeted hours/minute requirements for each job. (Utilizing SAP – Service Auto Pilot App.)
- Follow Route Sheet Instructions for client properties, mark completed, and note any exceptions. Review next day’s Route Sheet and prepare for the next day’s jobs
Training/Quality
- Provide “on the job” training to all crewmembers in Safety Practices, Equipment Use, and Technique.
- Review Taylor Anthony 365 quality standards with every new employee and coach team members’ performance as needed.
- To avoid customer complaints, walk property after completion, using quality checklist, to ensure all work has completed to Taylor Anthony 365 quality standards.
- Achieve satisfactory scores on quality checks performed by supervisor or quality manager
Sales
- Capture name, address and telephone number on any potential sales leads. Also, document services they are inquiring about.
- Identify upsell opportunities on all maintenance properties and comment on SAP i.e., needs mulch, could use landscape estimate, needs tree trimming.
Accidents
- Report any employee on the job accidents to your supervisor immediately
- If you or your crew member damages a client’s property, contact your supervisor immediately.
