The Resident Assistant plays a key role in implementing the established care plans for assigned residents. A passion for working with seniors is essential. If you align with our mission and values, we also provide opportunities for growth into LNA and Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) roles.
Essential Duties:
- Performs tasks and duties intended to maintain Resident health and independence and socialization as directed and noted in the Care Plan.
- Reports any changes in Resident condition and communicates directly to the Care Coordinator, Director of Assisted Living, or Nurse Manager, as indicated.
- Assists Residents with activities of daily living.
- Documents daily Resident care as per Taylor Community standard.
- Recognizes Resident physical, emotional, social, and activity needs and facilitates participation in programs designed to meet those needs as per care plan.
- Assists with laundry and housekeeping duties.
- Supervises Assisted Living Residents in their self-administration of medications.
- Will be required to work every other weekend.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
- Visual and aural acuity to detect and report changes in Resident conditions.
- Ability to communicate in English and comprehend written and verbal information to and from others.
- Ability to climb stairs and physically assist with the evacuation/transfer of Residents as conditions warrant.
A valid NH Drivers license, criminal background check and
drug testing is required.
