The Mobile Child Welfare Crisis Team travels to counties who are under staffed and in need of immediate assistance in their protective services department. The Mobile Child Welfare Crisis Team was established due to a gap between the services that county needs vs the services the state can provide. As a previous case worker and supervisor I was constantly dealing with turnover in the protective services unit. I often needed additional help in the field but that help was never available. The state was not permitted to provide the type of assistance that I needed at the county level. After years of frustration I decide to fill that gap.
