Taylor County Juvenile Detention Center is seeking qualified applicants for a Juvenile Probation Officer.
Starting Salary: $55,195.00 annually benefits

Applicants must have acquired a Bachelor’s Degree conferred by a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Board; and have either one year of graduate study at a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in criminology, corrections, counseling, law, social work, psychology, sociology, or other field of instruction approved by TJJD or; qualifying work experience as outlined in TAC 344.210.
Must be able to be certified as a Juvenile Probation Officer within 6 months of employment. Must pass a criminal background check, must have a valid Texas Driver’s License, must pass a TDFPS background check upon hire and annually, and must pass a PREA background check. Paper applications will also be accepted in the Human Resources Office, Taylor County Plaza Building, 400 Oak Street, Suite 120, until filled. HR office hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am - 12:00 pm.
