FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

Taylor County

Child Support

Starting Pay: $21.45

Part time: 25 hours/week

The Financial Specialist specializes in child support financial functions, non-IV-D casework, and provides support related to child support financial accounts. Individual will prepare legal documents, initiate and maintain case files, manage financial accounts, initiate contact with custodial and non-custodial parents, coordinate and conduct genetic testing, and schedule court hearings. Individual will be responsible for fiscal management of child and spousal support orders and other financial obligations. Individual will also be responsible for receptionist and clerical duties.

A high school diploma or equivalent and experience with word processing and data entry is required. One to two years’ experience in a professional office setting is preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong decision-making abilities, adeptness in handling challenging situations with individuals, and effective communication skills. Background checks are required.
