Taylor Hopkinson is currently in active pursuit of a Construction Manager in Indiana to join a Spanish leader in photovoltaic self-consumption facilities, offering 360º services by being present throughout the energy value chain through four business lines: power generation, construction of energy projects, energy commercialization and product manufacturing with established operations in US, Italy, Mexico, France, Germany, and Morocco.
The Construction Manager to oversee the execution of a solar project in Indiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and site supervision.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align with project goals.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure construction meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates on project status, including progress reports, risks, and solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Adapt to changes in project scope and timeline effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Proven experience managing utility-scale or C&I solar EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to relocate or be based in Indiana for the duration of the project.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Familiarity with local permitting and inspection processes in Indiana.
