Our client is a global energy conglomerate with a rapidly growing renewable energy portfolio across all technologies. This is an opportunity to join the organization as a Director of Structured Finance for Distributed-Generation projects.
Role Overview :
As Director, Structured Finance - DG, you will be responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and implementing renewables development, M&A, and financing opportunities for commercial & industrial (C&I) projects, reporting to the Vice President of Structured Finance. You will develop strong partnerships with financiers and equity partners and deliver financing solutions.
Activities
Business Unit :
Lead and close tax equity and debt financing, raising more than $100 million of new capital every year.
Establish and maintain deep relationships with leading tax equity investors, project finance lenders, top law firms, and market consultants.
Work closely with Renewables HQ team and OFL on approval for new transactions.
Specific Duties :
Serve as primary deal lead responsible for negotiating, structuring, and closing tax equity and back leverage financings for DG projects.
Conduct financial modeling of Renewables DG projects to assess economic profitability and prepare for commercial negotiations with lenders, tax, and cash equity partners.
Prepare internal committee presentations (financial statements, economic results for Company, sensitivities) for senior management investment decisions.
Oversee attorneys and consultants in the closing process.
Lead investor meetings and outreach, serving as an external face of the Renewables business.
Assist with securing PPAs matching pipeline development opportunities in coordination with local teams and the PPA Team.
Build relationships with external stakeholders (public entities, development or JV partners, advisors, investors, etc.).
Drive project progress by outlining and prioritizing key work streams and leading all necessary internal and external steps in the process.
Stay informed on key market developments and industry news / events to quickly identify business opportunities.
What You Will Bring :
10 years of transaction experience in renewable energy or project finance
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; master's degree preferred
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly, in both oral and written forms
Experience negotiating and modeling tax-advantaged transactions (leases and partnerships) or working in power or energy markets.
Capable of managing and leading complex transactions involving multiple counterparties
Robust quantitative and analytical skills
Capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously, autonomously
Fluency in English, experience working in multi-cultural / multi-site environment
