Fabric Room Supervisor
Statement of Primary Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Fabric Room Supervisor oversees fabric inventory management, prepares stock for the cutting department's production schedule for the following week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Understanding of custom upholstery.
- Maintain accurate and organized fabric inventory; daily, monthly, and yearly.
- Work up weekly production schedules for the Cutting Department.
- Work up cut yardage orders.
- Manage fabric stock, support associates, and oversee daily tasks completion.
- Managing after-market swatch preparations.
- Work with Customer Service Representatives regarding customer order questions, fabric reserves, CFA's, etc.
- Work with Fabric Expediter on any discrepancies in the system and support the management of receipt damaged or faulty fabric receipts.
- Ability to determine, through support of supervisors, priority of specific order scheduling.
- Consistent communication regarding the schedule with Supervisors.
Qualifications:
- An understanding of custom upholstery.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer operation.
- Ability to work closely with others in business office matters.
- Ability to communicate well with co-workers, management, and the public.
- High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred.
- Two years' experience in related field preferred.

Physical Demands:
Some physical activity required. The functions of the job are usually performed both standing and sitting, and do involve some amount of lifting fabric rolls.
