Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed invoices for clients
- Monitor the status of accounts to ensure payments are made promptly and accurately
- Resolve billing issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain and update billing software with new charges, discounts, and rates
- Collaborate with clients and attorneys to ensure accurate billing practices
- Prepare and present reports on billing activity
- Track and record all transactions and statuses
- Updating bank balance spreadsheets, managing AP, working with external CPA’s
- Closing accounts, refunding unused trust balances to clients, sending close letters through Clio
- Process payroll, pay Suta, monitor 401k.
- Administrator for company benefits
- Other admin duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Legal Billing Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of billing procedures and software (Clio preferred)
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
- Good understanding of accounting and legal principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
