What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Taylor Machine Works, Inc?
Basic Purpose: Functions as a member of the group producing assemblies. Builds sub assemblies and assemblies. Performs other jobs when required. Performs at skill levels including, but not limited to operating sanders, ordinary and power hand tools, etc.
Tools and Equipment: Hand tools, power hand tools, burning machines, forklifts, sanders, hose making equipment, bearing press, overhead and jib cranes, protective equipment, measuring equipment, etc.
Materials: Steels, component assemblies, compressed air, grinding disks, burning gasses, hydraulic hoses and fittings, etc.
Job Accountabilities:
- Functions as a member of the group producing assemblies.
- Builds sub assemblies and assemblies.
- Will be required to perform finishing, cleaning, and material handling duties, etc.
- Performs at skill levels including, but not limited to operating sanders, ordinary and power hand tools, fork lifts, overhead and jib cranes, etc.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, parts and assemblies.
- Must maintain a clean and orderly facility and work area.
- May be moved from one position to another so long as required tests have been met.
- Performs other jobs when required.
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must Pass TMW Wiring Test.
- Must Pass TMW Tacking Test.
- Must pass test to operate fork-lift.
- Must hold any governmental mandated certificates and licenses.
Job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and capability of lifting up to 50 pounds
