What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roll Forming Operator position at Taylor Metal Products?
This Machine Operator role involves the tooling setup and operation of roll forming equipment to produce steel products. The Machine Operator is responsible for making all necessary adjustments to run the lines according to predetermined criteria to effectively produce quality goods. This Machine Operator will also conduct routine, preventative maintenance on the equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates machines to produce specified components.
- Make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain dimensional tolerances.
- Performs tooling setup and line changeovers to produce goods to specifications.
- Performs routine/scheduled maintenance on all roll form lines.
- Trains other employees in basic roll form operation and support functions as necessary.
- Load and unload steel coils up to 10,000 pounds with a forklift.
- Coordinates with other departments, including sales, shipping, and maintenance.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least three-years Machine Operator experience (roll forming a plus).
- Skill and dexterity in the operation of machines and tools.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment.
- A strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- A skillset incorporating great attention to detail and accuracy.
