Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience in various plumbing tasks, including construction plumbing and remodeling projects. The Plumbing Technician will work both independently and as part of a team on construction sites, ensuring that all plumbing work is completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential properties.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to transport materials and equipment on construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Be able to accurately leak test homes.
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes accurately.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during all plumbing work.
- Document all work performed for record-keeping purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician or similar role in the construction industry, and / or be willing to learn quickly.
- Strong knowledge of construction plumbing techniques and practices.
- Experience in remodeling projects is a plus.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
