Conflicts Analyst Opportunity - Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Join one of the Largest and Most Acclaimed Law Firms in the World as a Conflicts Analyst! This is a hybrid role, and you will spend 2-3 days in the Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston, or Washington D.C. office.
**Must have previous law firm Conflicts experience. **
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding conflict check results and any missing information from the request form, and validate the conflict check requirements with the attorney or secretary requesting the report.
- Updating data in the conflict databases as necessary and conducting corporate research using internal and external information resources to confirm the accuracy of the information
- Obtaining the necessary guidance from attorneys or other Conflict staff with an understanding of the requirements to properly evaluate the conflicts properly check (lateral candidate, potential client, potential adverse party, etc.)
- Conducting research regarding corporate entities that are subject to conflicts review using a variety of electronic databases, the Internet, and print sources.
- Analyzing and replying to attorneys’ responses concerning any potential or actual conflict
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the firm retains
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3 years of demonstrated work experience involving professional interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the ability to work independently
- 2 years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm, preferably
- 2 years of experience with Intapp Open software, preferably
