Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. The Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant will support our attorneys and paralegals in handling personal injury cases before they reach the litigation stage. This role involves extensive client communication, case management, and administrative support to ensure the efficient handling of cases.
Key Responsibilities:
● Case Management: Assist in managing personal injury cases from treatment through settlement, including gathering and organizing medical records, accident reports, and other necessary documents.
● Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, obtain necessary information, and address any concerns they may have.
● Documentation: Prepare demand packages, and other legal documents as required.
● Coordination: Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, and other case-related activities.
● Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining case files in the firm's case management system.
● Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal assistants to ensure seamless case progression and support the pre-litigation process.
● Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls with insurance companies, medical providers, and clients to ensure timely progression of cases.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role within a personal injury law firm is preferred.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred.
● Skills:
○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
○ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
○ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
○ Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
