Emergency Veterinary Receptionist

In search of a customer service representative in a high paced 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital.

Duties will include:

• Greeting Clients
• Attending to clients' needs while in waiting area (engaging in conversation, offering and making coffee etc).
• Checking clients/patients in and out for appointments
• Scheduling appointments for a multiple doctor practice
• Time management in handling appointments and emergencies
• Filing
• Handling money, i.e. cash drawer, credit card machine, care credit
• Proper phone etiquette
• Problem solving with scheduling and staff
• Experience in computer programs such as: Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Thorough understanding of veterinary medicine for dogs, cats and horses
• triage clients over the phone to determine emergency versus non emergency
• Cleaning lobby area (sweeping, mopping, dusting, furniture maintenance, plant upkeep, coffee station area etc).
• Thorough knowledge of pet food and over the counter pet products (flea, tick and heartworm medication).

Hours

• Part time & Full time, Day shift and early evening shift, 8 hour shifts
• Must be willing to work weekends, days and holidays

Pay/Benefits

• $16-$18 per hour DOE
• Part-time benefits include discounted veterinary services

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience in veterinary industry
