Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in civil defense matters, including litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
Draft, review, and analyze legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and other relevant materials.
Participate in depositions, mediations, and court hearings, providing sound legal advice and counsel.
Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and contribute to all phases of litigation.
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and manage case expectations.
Collaborate with experts, consultants, and other professionals to support case development.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of organization.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the [State] Bar.
1-3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in defense.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software.
