Inventory Control Manager Job Duties:
- Oversee the management of inventory, logistics, and the upkeep of tools and equipment.
- Develop and maintain systems to monitor stock counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and generate inventory reports.
- Track performance metrics and implement improvements to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
- Partner with leadership to create and execute business strategies, budgets, and key initiatives.
- Lead a team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Cultivate a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, responsibility, and staff development.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on received inventory to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Perform routine inventory audits and resolve discrepancies between physical and recorded stock.
- Coordinate with production teams to address inventory requirements and resolve operational challenges.
Inventory Control Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred
- 5 years of inventory management experience
- Preferred experience in a tangible, inventory-centric industry, such as retail / manufacturing / distribution / CPG
- Proficiency in working with large ERP, expertise in Excel working with large, complex data sets is required
- Process improvement mentality needed
- Ability to successfully work independently in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- Experience with database tools for analysis is a plus (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills a must
