Payroll Analyst - Hybrid

Payroll Analyst Job Duties:

• Accurately process payroll transactions to ensure all employees are paid on time and without errors.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of payroll activities, including employee information and tax documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws, such as federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.
• Apply best practices for payroll processing to uphold the organization’s standards and efficiency.
• Respond promptly and professionally to requests for payroll reports, ensuring all information is accurate and thorough.
• Troubleshoot payroll-related issues efficiently, resolving concerns with kindness and professionalism.
• Conduct regular internal payroll audits to verify accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.
• Prepare required documentation for external audits, ensuring all materials are complete and ready for review.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, streamlining workflows for greater efficiency.
• Recommend and implement best practices for enhancing payroll accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with team members and departments, fostering open communication for resolving payroll-related concerns.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations to ensure continued compliance and operational excellence.

Payroll Analyst Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
• FPC or CPP designation preferred
• 2 years of Workday experience in a large company required
• 4 years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience required
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables / vlookups at a minimum)
• Experience handling large datasets and able to extract detailed information efficiently
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Solid critical thinking and attention to detail
• Superb verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills required
