Job Summary
Hurricane Restaurant is now hiring for a Part-Time and Full-Time Host/Hostess for our 2024 season. Our ideal candidate will maintain a professional appearance on the floor, can multi-task under pressure, will have the ability to work as a part of a team, and will have a warm and friendly attitude. We will train the right person! Candidates who can work the entirety of our season are preferred (Now through December). This position is paid hourly by the restaurant and is also a tip based position (cash tips from serving staff each night).
Host Responsibilities- This position involves seating guests according to restaurant standards, learning/using OpenTable reservation system, managing wait lists, communicating guests seating to servers, as well as answering guest questions/phone calls, and handling special requests.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess, server, or busser is preferred but not required
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
