Job Description
Job Title : Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Specialty : Outpatient Therapy
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day 5x8 (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)
Guaranteed Hours : Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours
Experience : Minimum 1-year experience required
License : Must have active or pending state license
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have : Outpatient clinic experience; ability to take vital signs
Job Description :
- Open to candidates with a later start date
- Responsible for completing 9 visits per day
- Total facility capacity of 25 rooms / beds
- The clinician is not required to float within scope or take on-call duties
- Open to discussing schedule or time-off requests with a manager
- Locals accepted with no radius restriction
- Required skills and experience include assessment, discharge planning, setting short-term goals, and time management
- Professional skills and knowledge required include developing home exercise programs, lifting and transferring patients, and recognizing signs and symptoms of abuse
- Hospital is a critical access facility with 25 staffed beds
- No specific scrub color required; business casual or professional athletic attire is acceptable
- Charting experience with Cerner is necessary
- Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
