Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Architectural Designer, Licensed Architect, or Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SketchUp and have experience drafting full residential build sets, including schedules and site information (we are not opposed to other BIM solutions, but candidate would have to come with a workflow in their preferred BIM software that works well alongside SketchUp, as SU is a key part of our client visualization), and have a passion for the design industry. This position offers the opportunity to be highly specialized, or varied in scope depending on the skill sets and desires of the applicant, needs of the firm and clients at any given time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive residential build sets, including detailed drawings, schedules, and site information.
- Collaborate with Designer to develop and refine architectural concepts
- Create detailed 3D models and renderings using Sketchup or other software
- Continually refine and seek innovative ways to communicate design intent with tradespeople and clients
Qualifications:
- Real world experience in the AEC industry
- Comprehensive portfolio of work (In a job setting versus educational project)
- Knowledge of how things are constructed and building codes
- Ability to quickly problem solve and effectively communicate solutions to tradespeople, clients, and designers
- Must be excited about challenges and finding new ways of doing things.
