Security Analyst

Job Summary

The Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and threats across the organization's IT infrastructure. This role ensures the protection of sensitive data, compliance with security policies, and the implementation of best practices in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security breaches or intrusions.
• Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and configure security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports on security incidents and audit findings.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business units to ensure secure system designs and implementations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in information security or IT security operations.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , CISSP, CEH) preferred.
