Unarmed Security Guard

Taz Trucking, Inc., a successful and growing family-owned trucking company, is expanding onsite security for the TAZ Business Center property. We are seeking an unarmed security professional to help cover the night shift and weekends. These positions will report to the Lead Security Guard and will be considered part time only.

Responsibilities

• Patrol grounds and monitor activity
• Maintain presence to discourage criminal activity and encourage a safe/secure environment
• Complete detailed daily activity and thorough incident reports
• Report suspicious activities immediately/appropriately
• Use good judgement, professionalism, and excellent communication skills in interactions; follow protocols to manage situations appropriately
• Monitor and log incoming/outgoing traffic on premises; control traffic according to established protocols

• Alert, observant and aware of surroundings
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude for evening and night shift work
• Ability to remain calm and apply sound judgement; communicate clearly and concisely
• Proven effective interpersonal skills
• Physically fit to perform duties
• Vaid driver's license
• Trained in CPR and first aid
• At least 1 year of police/correctional experience or certified/academy training or 2-3 years security/military experience
• High school education or above
• Ability to pass drug/alchol and background/fingerprint screening

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
