Position Overview:
As a Junior MEP Estimator, you will assist in the preparation of cost estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing). This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to two years of relevant experience who are eager to learn and grow in the field of MEP estimating. TBD understands it's uncommon to simultaneously have expertise in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fields. However, we're committed to providing in-depth training in all three areas and are seeking a candidate who is eager to learn and master each discipline. Please ensure that you hold a relevant degree when applying for this position. Acceptable degrees include, but are not limited to, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and similar fields.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Estimation: Support the estimation process by gathering and reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
- Cost Analysis: Help analyze costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Data Entry: Enter and update data in spreadsheets accurately.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of estimates, changes, and project details.
- Collaboration: Work closely with estimators, project managers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
- Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to gather information and verify project scope.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in MEP estimating or a related field. Internships or relevant coursework will be considered.
- Skills: Basic understanding of MEP systems and construction processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with estimation software (Bluebeam/On-Screen) is a plus.
- Attributes: Strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
