TBest Services is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Manager with hands-on experience in industrial automation to lead production for our client in Elkridge, MD.
You'll be responsible for managing full-cycle manufacturing operations-from planning and process improvement to team leadership and cost control-while supporting the company's continued growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations across production, quality, and maintenance for industrial automation systems
- Develop and manage production schedules, capacity planning, and workflow optimization
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to increase throughput, reduce waste, and control costs
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., OEE, yield, downtime) and implement performance improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety and quality standards
- Oversee resource planning, procurement coordination, and vendor communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams on process scaling and new product integration
- Manage and mentor production staff; support recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews
- Report directly to executive leadership on operational performance and strategic goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 3 years of operations management in industrial automation or electronics manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping) and production metrics
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle)
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and meet production and quality goals
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications preferred
