Job Description:

They are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Insurance Defense Attorney who has successfully passed the New York State Bar and is eager to gain hands-on litigation experience. This role offers an opportunity to be actively involved in all phases of the litigation process, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.

Responsibilities:

• Appear in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy and client advocacy.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and insurance carriers.
• Prepare and draft status reports for clients and insurance adjusters.
• Analyze and interpret legal data, laws, statutes, legal codes, and precedents.
• Serve as the client’s advocate, making recommendations in their best interest.
• Summarize case facts and develop strategic approaches to litigation.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Participate in all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation and appellate work.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Must have passed the NY Bar, but can be pending admission.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in handling litigation from case inception through resolution.
