Our client is a large successful hedge fund managing assets across a variety of investment strategies. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Accountant. Ideally you will possess a strong technical, regulatory and tax accounting skill set with hedge fund audit experience. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations, particularly within the hedge fund industry. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with experience in either a hedge fund management company or public accounting, with a preference for Big 4 auditors with hedge fund experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team and external auditors to complete year-end audits for domestic and international entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Manage quarterly and annual tax filings (federal, state, and international), as well as regulatory filings as necessary, with a strong acumen and broad tax basis to assist and oversee tax filings by the external accountants.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team on the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Support monthly finance and financial planning initiatives, as well as ad hoc projects, providing valuable insights and analysis.
- Maintain and administer accounting policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Research, evaluate, and analyze GAAP, IFRS, regulatory, and tax matters relevant to the firm, providing guidance and recommendations.
- Oversight of external tax accountants to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all tax filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license desired
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a hedge fund management company or public accounting.
- Strong preference for Big 4 audit experience with exposure to hedge fund management companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Strong understanding of hedge fund industry practices and regulations.

Salary : $150,000 - $250,000
