About the Role
Seeking an experienced Director of Underwriting to lead the direction and oversight of its underwriting practices. They will play an integral role in creating, refining, and implementing firm policy in support of company growth goals within CRE lending. We are looking for a growth-oriented, hands-on individual who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage firmwide underwriting and diligence processes and procedures across CRE asset classes
- Review live CRE lending transactions for completeness in the underwriting process; ensure adherence to firm guidelines and prudent decision making within the deal diligence process
- Oversee development and improvement of firm investment memoranda and underwriting templates
- Manage relationships with third party vendors used during the underwriting process
- Lead education and training initiatives for new and existing team members
Qualifications
10 years of relevant experience in underwriting Private, conventional, or institutional lending
Required Skills
- Strong credit analysis and deal history in an underwriting and/or credit position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with a team
Overview of Benefits
$300,000 base salary with a total compensation package of $500,000
