A prominent reinsurance company based in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Paralegal with a focus on statutory and financial filings to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry to take on a critical role within the compliance department. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review statutory and financial filings required for insurers and reinsurers, ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations.
• Assist in managing filing schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all necessary documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and risk management, to support compliance initiatives.
• Monitor and track regulatory changes that may impact filing requirements and company operations.
• Provide guidance and support to senior compliance team members regarding regulatory filings and compliance processes.
• Assist with audits and examinations by regulatory agencies, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and accurate.
• Conduct research on regulatory requirements and maintain knowledge of industry trends and legal developments.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in paralegal work, or a related role within the insurance or reinsurance industry, with a focus on statutory and financial filings.
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements related to insurance and reinsurance companies.
• Experience with financial reporting and regulatory compliance processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory concepts.
