TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading oilfield services company on their search for a PAYROLL SPECIALIST. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of in-house, high-volume payroll experience within manufacturing, heavy industrial, turn-around, offshore or production environment. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or any related field is highly preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full cycle payroll processing experience using an in-house system. Working knowledge of View Point is highly preferred.
- Ensure employee payroll is processed timely and accurately and in compliance with Federal and State law.
- Enter new hire paperwork information into the payroll system.
- Record employee information to maintain and update payroll records.
- Manage accuracy and retention of direct deposit, federal allowance information and other documents as required by law.
- Support with resolving any payroll issues/questions by researching and gathering the information needed on a case-by-case basis.
- Correct checks and distribute accordingly while processing and reconciling Vacation/Sick Requests.
- Distribute checks to all job sites according to the Check Requests Forms sent by the Field Accountants.
- Deliver utmost customer service to employees by providing documents and information on payroll matters, tax issues / questions and voluntary and involuntary deductions.
- Set up Company State and Local Tax accounts for reporting.
- Maintain Tax Rates in system for each state worked in.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related field is highly preferred, a high school diploma is required.
- Expert in Excel.
- Ability to work through difficult issues in a calm, knowledgeable and discrete manner.

Salary range: $28.00 - $32.00 hourly eligible for overtime
