Our team is partnering is partnering with a Commercial Real Estate company who has recently relocated their headquarters from New York to Phoenix! One of the most important roles to the organization is a new Property Accountant.
Where: Phoenix, Arizona
Onsite 5 days a week
The ideal candidates will have previous real estate or property management experience, be detailed oriented, analytical and experience managing financial transactions, prepare reports and ensure accuracy in the financial records. Preferred to have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Required experience and what you will do:
- Oversee accounting for a diverse portfolio, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in property-related transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations, including tenant accounts, landlord accounts, and property-specific general ledgers.
- Manage rent rolls, lease accounting, and assist with monthly rent calculations and payments.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Assist with tax compliance, track financial data for tax reporting, and collaborate with auditors during year-end audits.
- Analyze financial trends, recommend budget adjustments, and support cost control efforts.
- Serve as a liaison for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Work closely with internal teams, including property managers and finance staff, to ensure smooth accounting operations.
