Role Overview:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Category Manager, eCommerce & Natural to support the Category Management team. This role will be responsible for identifying market trends, competitive threats, brand strategies and customer strategies to increase sales and market share with our retail partners. This work includes new product introductions, pricing analyses, seasonal reviews and programs, promotional planning, understanding the impact of assortment changes on category and brand growth. You will mine a variety of shopper, consumer, customer, and market insights as you develop customer and category strategies and initiatives. Additional responsibilities include:

Primary responsibility is to be a thought leader and "go-to" resource for all category, shopper trends, and merchandising solutions relevant for the assigned retailers.

Leverage POS, Syndicated and Panel data, and other insights resources to perform category analytics, building a deep understanding of trends and shopper behavior.

Integrate insights into compelling selling stories with actionable recommendations, presenting directly to retailers.

Build relationships with key retailers and influence category strategy at shelf to support achievement of TBG’s AOP and JBP goals.

Keep up with developments and best practices in category management. It is expected that you will pursue the knowledge needed to improve departmental capabilities and improve professional competence.

Act as a strong, clear, objective, and inspiring voice of the small format customer team.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus.

3-5 years of Category Management / Insights / Analytics experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry

3-5 years’ experience in analyzing and interpreting data.

Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and thought leadership skills.

Strong PC skill set (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Experience with standard data resources and solutions (Syndicated POS, Panel, SPINS, etc.)

Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interact confidently and effectively with team members, senior leaders, and the customer.

Collaboration is essential in this role as the person will work very closely with account sales leads, cross-functional teams as well as the retailers directly.

Strong planning/organizing skills; the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
