Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Fruit Processing Operator to support the Supply Chain team to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.
This role will be responsible for running the extractor machine, the pump room, and the peel oil machine. Must have strong communication and computer skills. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Computer aptitude
- Perform all functions associated with OPIV Fruit Operator including compliance with all regulatory and/or internal quality paperwork
- Communicate with customers with all regulatory and/or internal quality paperwork
- Must be able to work with chemicals (lye, bleach) and wear full PPE where required
- Communicate, coordinate, and perform lye outs
- Troubleshoot issues as they occur on all applicable equipment
- Responsible for maintaining area to 5S standards
- Perform clean-up during production interruptions or as directed
- Leave area organized at end of shift
- Must always maintain good housekeeping
- Candidates must demonstrate compliance with all safety, GMP, and work rules at all times
- Stretching of hands, arms, back, shoulders, neck and legs is suggested
- Monitors the flow of the fruit through the line and adjusts the speed when the line starts to get heavy returns
- Monitors brush-washers, grading tables, sizers, extractors, pomace pumps, and finishers
- Must be able to effectively communicate with pump room, pulp wash, pulpy juice, peel oil, and the bins when issues occur, and the lines are going down and up
- Must communicate issues to the lead / or advisor and call electrician, or mechanic as needed when break downs occur
- Controls the flow and sizing of fruit from the bins to the extractor floor and communicate issue with Lead and bin operator
- Keeps area clean of fruit and debris
Requirements:
- High school diploma/ GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively
- Must demonstrate the ability use a computer

- Ensure shift/team required training and compliance matters are completed on time
