Role Overview:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Manager, Commercial Strategy - Grocery to support the Commercial Strategy team. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing sales strategies that drive growth. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure alignment of business goals, maximize promotional efforts, and capitalize on market trends to deliver long-term success.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and category management teams to develop and execute targeted promotional and pricing strategies that optimize product visibility and profitability.
- Lead the development of accurate sales forecasts, considering historical data, seasonal trends, and market conditions. Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to expand or optimize product lines.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data to improve sales performance and identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity, identifying key trends, pricing strategies, and promotions that could impact the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales strategy, key account management, or category management, with a specific focus on major retailers such as Walmart.
- Strong experience managing large-scale retail accounts, including understanding of retailer processes, negotiations, and business dynamics.
- Proven experience in developing and executing sales plans, including forecasting, pricing, promotions, and account management strategies.
- Familiarity with trade promotion management (TPM) and trade promotion optimization (TPO) tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with experience using sales forecasting tools or CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, supply chain, and product teams to align on strategic goals and execution.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
