Role Overview: 

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Senior Analyst, Compensations and Benefits to support the HR team. The Senior Analyst, Compensations and Benefits is a critical member of the TBG HR team working with our Total Rewards leader to create and support meaningful compensation and benefits programs that help us attract and retain outstanding talent. The Analyst should have a strong working knowledge of the application of compensation and benefits topics in a dynamic corporate environment, and the ability to identify and solve issues creatively and quickly. They participate on HR projects taking a lead role in their areas of expertise.

Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Proposes and supports implementation of new and improved benefit and compensation processes and procedures for our new organization
  • Prepares data for compensation and benefits analyses
  • Assists and advises employees with compensation and benefit changes, enrollment process, eligibility, coverage amounts/options, and escalated vendor issues with claims or services.
  • Builds familiarity with defined benefit and defined contribution retirement programs, interacting with vendors and guiding the company through critical decision points
  • Builds relationships with our vendor partners and supports instrumental processes such as data sharing, analysis and invoicing
  • Manages leave programs in coordination with external vendor, payroll and HR operations.
  • Provides support to HR Business Partners by pulling data from our Human Resources Information System (UKG) and analyzing data to draw conclusions and recommend actions
  • Communicates proactively with HR Business Partners, effectively enabling them to provide high quality service to their business leaders
  • Completes salary surveys and benchmarks salaries with external market comparables
  • Calculates variable pay for employees (bonuses, incentives, equity plans, etc)
  • Runs reports on compensation data, analyzes results and recommends actions based on analysis
  • Approves and executes compensation changes using defined rules (salary changes, variable pay changes, incentive plan change/allocations)
  • Leads benefits enrollment and personnel records maintenance (e.g., hire date, marital status, dependent information, breaks in service, etc.)
  • Advises the broader HR team on basic C&B topics


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or an analytical field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills with a particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Patient, compelling communicator with the ability to interface with employees across all levels of the organization
  • Independent self-starter with strategic, and practical problem solving
  • Skilled negotiator who can identify creative ways to identify savings with our vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously allocating time appropriately
  • Willing team player, building collaborative relationships across the HR team
  • 3 – 5 years of Compensation and Benefits analysis experience in a corporate environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future  

  • Must be located in Chicago, IL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.

 

Benefits Overview: 

TBG is pleased to offer you a comprehensive benefits package which includes a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, company provided life, STD and LTD insurance. In addition, you may also elect to participate in voluntary life, accident, hospital, and critical illness coverages. 

The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $96,000 annually.
