Procurement Associate

Weston Massachusetts : On-Site (5 days / week)

Vanguard Renewables is the leading anaerobic digester developer / operator in the U.S., converting organic waste and cow manure into renewable energy. With over 40 projects across 16 states, we are rapidly expanding into new markets.

We are seeking a Procurement Associate to assist in our procurement processes within a fast-paced, dynamic, and specialized environment. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in sourcing materials for biogas plants, researching vendors, and maintaining critical supply chain data.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Assist in the procurement process by sourcing potential vendors, comparing prices, and negotiating contracts.
Maintain and update supplier information, including qualifications, delivery times, and product ranges.
Support the Procurement Manager in conducting market research to stay informed on industry trends.
Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely deliveries.
Respond to supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations to maintain smooth process flow.
Assist in developing plans for storage, testing, or disposal of surplus materials.
Ensure consistent and on-time attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

Experience in sourcing specialized engineering equipment for energy or gas & oil plants.

Familiarity with procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar tools.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in the renewable energy sector.

Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
