Network and Systems Administrator
Reporting to: Deputy General Manager
Location: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
Atlanta, GA
General Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Deputy General Manager, the IT Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and leading computer-related activities within the organization and a number of different tasks overseeing of the company’s internal infrastructure.
Major Responsibilities and Functions:
- Work closely with department managers to assess the growth needs.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs.
- Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic network infrastructure to ensure high-performance connectivity and reliability.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, Server 2019 and later.
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
- Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders to develop solutions for IT needs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
- Provides employee training on document and communication systems.
- Disaster recovery/Business Contingency planning and documentation for location.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- University degree or the equivalent education/experience
- 7 years of progressively responsible experience.
- Knowledge of layer 2 and 3 switching hardware required.
- Experience with most current technologies.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Effective problem solving and mediation skills.
- Proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
Working Conditions:
Physical Effort:
While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time throughout the course of daily activities. The employee is occasionally required to climb, lift, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is required to work on a computer, in addition to doing paperwork.
Mental Effort:
Position involves encounters with members at every level of the organization, airline employees, vendors, subcontractors, and members of the public, and requires a sense of responsibility to provide a high level of service and accurate information. The position involves stress associated with responding to/solving problems. The position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, as well as a creative approach to formulating responses and making recommendations regarding changes in company policy and/or procedures, as required. Operations are dynamic and situations may require immediate attention. This position has high exposure to the public and requires a professional approach and demeanour under all conditions. It also requires a genuine willingness to assist persons with a wide range of requests and needs, including individuals with disabilities.

Normal Working Hours:
The normal working hours for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, the Manager of IT will be available by either e-mail or telephone for any issues related to TBI AM’s critical IT needs.
