General Responsibilities:
The Senior Staff Accountant position is responsible for creating journal entries, assembling supporting documentation, tracking the contents of accounts and creating portions of the financial statements and reporting package for entities under IFRS and GAAP.
Major Responsibilities and Functions:
- Prepares inter-company transactions, accruals and reconciliations.
- Reconciles multiple bank statements.
- Maintain all cash management spreadsheets and transactional files.
- Supervise AP activity.
- Responsible for entering journal entries into the Sage 300 accounting software, including recurring and reversing entries.
- Performs monthly billing reconciliations of contractual expenses for multiple airport locations.
- Completes monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Consolidates and inputs expense reports for processing through payroll.
- Assists with the preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements.
- Assists with preparing forecasts and annual budgets for BS, CF and IS
- Experience with sales and use tax.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial information analyses and work on special projects.
- Assist with preparation of external audits as required.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- Exceptional technical Excel skills.
- A minimum of three years general ledger accounting experience is required, five preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience with SAGE 300 accounting software system, a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
Normal Working Hours:
The normal working hours for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m, remote Friday. Overtime expected at peak periods of quarter end close and budgeting.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, lift, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is required to work on a computer, in addition to doing paper work.
