BillionToOne is a next-generation molecular diagnostics company dedicated to developing powerful and accurate diagnostic tests that are accessible to all. We are looking for a highly impactful Chief Operating Officer (COO) role that will oversee non-R&D and non-commercial day-to-day operations. This pivotal role will establish the operational systems necessary to scale the company from 500 to 2000 employees and grow revenues from $150M ARR to $1B ARR over the next five years, while maintaining our high standards of operational excellence and strong company culture. The COO is a hybrid position and reports directly to our CEO.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and the rest of the executive team to implement and drive the company goals
• Lead and manage functions including Laboratory Operations, Quality, IT, People Ops, and, over time, Legal and Reimbursement
• Drive the implementation of robust operational processes, systems, and scalable solutions to support BillionToOne’s next chapter of 10x growth
• Ensure operational practices align with BillionToOne’s mission and values, maintaining a strong transparent culture
• Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, emphasizing recruiting and retention of talent, maintaining an impressively high bar for employees, and implementing robust learning & development processes to enable their potential
• Implement processes to maintain and improve high quality in operations while achieving operational excellence and continuous improvements in COGS
• Support the company’s preparation to go public, ensuring profitability and strong financial management

Requirements :

For this position, the base salary is $300,000 per year with an annual bonus at plan of 30% and stock options valued at $1M / year, for a total compensation of $1.4M per year.
