You have playbooks from your past experience yet you’re also innovative, thinking from first principles to introduce fresh approaches when necessary.

The day-to-day

  • Lead our onboarding and offboarding programs from both a back-end process and employee-facing experience and provide quarterly insights.
  • Manage and enhance the workflows and internal reporting within our HRIS and Payroll systems.
  • Act as a key contributor for cultural initiatives including company All Hands, in-person activities, swag programs and other support as needed.
  • Partner with accounting to oversee payroll processing and the relationship with our payroll vendor.
  • Partner regularly with our DEI Committee to provide support and guidance for our company-wide programs.
  • Ensure VSCO‘s people practices are in compliance with legal requirements and designed in a way to support VSCO, including managing multi-state compliance needs for employees and contractors.
  • Be a key contributor to our internal compensation processes, including salary band reviews, compensation adjustments and equity refreshes.
  • Partner with Marketing to maintain our employer branding program.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in a people operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and driving compliance work.
  • Working knowledge of modern compensation best practices, including salary benchmarking and equity management.
  • Familiarity and experience extracting data from various systems / sources and cleaning, aggregating, and visualizing data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop unique and relevant employee experience programs that enhance engagement and retention.
  • Experience working in a remote-first startup environment.
  • Nice to haves

  • Experience with Paylocity and / or Sapling.
  • Experience working with state agencies to clarify requests and process claims.
  • SHRM or PHR certification.
  • Why VSCO?

We value the creative process and our employees’ opinions — input is encouraged, regardless of your position or title. We want to work with people who are driven and demonstrate initiative in taking our mission to the next level.

We believe in building a safe place for creative expression and celebrating that which makes us human, welcoming unique and personal backgrounds and experiences. We’re proud to foster diverse perspectives within VSCO as we continue to build an inclusive culture.
