The Discord Product Creative Team is seeking an exceptional animator with expertise in frame-by-frame animation and motion design. The ideal candidate is a master of their craft, bringing a combination of technical precision and artistic flair to everything they create. You'll be a vital part of our growing Collectibles Content Creation team, responsible for creating engaging, high-quality animations that enhance the user experience. We're looking for someone who can independently craft compelling motion pieces, collaborate with other creatives, and provide clear direction and feedback to vendors. Exceptional conceptual and illustration skills are essential for this role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate with the Collectibles design team to produce diverse collectible animations, including avatar decorations, profile effects, and new collectible types.
- Conceptualize, storyboard, and create animations that bring concepts to life with energy and style.
- Execute various animation styles (frame-by-frame, motion graphics, etc.), showcasing your keen eye for detail and impeccable timing.
- Design and animate using motion graphics principles to enhance the appeal of collectibles and user interactions.
- Partner closely with game publishers, designers, and vendors to produce polished, high-quality animations.
- Work within technical product constraints to ensure animations are both visually stunning and performant.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Provide thoughtful feedback on the work of peers and vendors to elevate creative output.
