We are based on six continents, support team members wherever they live, and are fluent in the tools and processes of distributed and often asynchronous work.We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative, and highly motivated individual to join RelationalAI as our Head of Legal, Product, and IP Counsel. This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale all legal initiatives for a growing enterprise SaaS company. You will be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and teams across the organization, initially focusing on enabling enterprise sales and supporting field operations.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and excels at balancing legal risks with business objectives. You will provide practical and strategic legal advice, negotiate high-value enterprise agreements, and help build scalable processes to support our rapid growth and expansion.Responsibilities Drive all legal initiatives for the company, serving as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across the organization.Draft, review, and negotiate complex enterprise SaaS agreements, including customer contracts, master service agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing deals.Develop scalable contracting processes and templates to enable an efficient and compliant sales cycle.Provide legal counsel on sales and field operations, including issues related to data security, privacy, compliance, and customer engagement.Oversee corporate governance, including board and subsidiary governance, and support strategic initiatives such as funding rounds, partnerships, and expansion efforts.Partner with HR on employment-related legal matters, including compliance with labor laws, workplace policies, and employee relations.Advise on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other industry-specific standards.Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide legal guidance on product development, licensing, and intellectual property matters.Partner with marketing teams to review campaigns and materials for compliance with advertising and intellectual property laws.Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling the company to achieve its business objectives.Manage relationships with external counsel and ensure the efficient use of resources to address specialized legal needs.About You (Qualifications) J.D. from a top-tier law school and membership in a U.S. state bar.7 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on enterprise SaaS agreements, commercial transactions, and supporting sales and field operations.Deep understanding of SaaS business models, licensing structures, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex enterprise agreements with Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations.Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and experience advising on product development and licensing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on balancing risk mitigation and business enablement.Why RelationalAIRelationalAI is committed to an open, transparent, and inclusive workplace.
