Whatnot has been one of the fastest growing marketplaces and we’re hiring forward-thinking problem solvers across all functional areas.We’re seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead the simplification, scaling, and support of our HRIS ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday. You will serve as the Workday domain expert, driving innovation in business processes and ensuring seamless integration with tools like ADP and other ecosystem applications. You'll lead Workday Payroll and Time Tracking configuration and maintenance along with production support to triage, resolve, and prevent system issues and maintain security role assignments. You'll have the opportunity to develop and maintain system documentation including process flows, user guides, and best practices to support scalable operations. Stay on the cutting edge by monitoring Workday releases, evaluating new features, and recommending enhancements to continuously improve system capabilities. To ensure quality, you'll have the opportunity to develop test scripts, lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure robust and reliable implementations.As a key member of the People Technology team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Payroll, People Operations, Talent, Total Rewards, and Finance to design scalable solutions, bridge technology and process gaps, and drive the successful implementation and optimization of our systems.This is a high-impact role for a systems professional with a passion for leveraging technology to streamline and enhance organizational operations. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to lead transformative initiatives, we want to hear from you!Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles hubs.As our next Senior Business Systems Analyst you should have 5 years of experience supporting and configuring Workday , with deep knowledge of Payroll and Time Tracking , plus : Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and change management processes related to SaaS tools.Strong ability to connect the dots between processes, operations, and technical solutions, driving both tactical and strategic outcomes.Detailed knowledge of core business processes related to the employee lifecycle ('hire to retire'), payroll, and total rewards, on a local and international basis.Hands-on experience creating and scaling Workday security, access management, and compliance.You take initiative to address challenges head-on, seeking solutions and driving results rather than waiting for others to act.Passionate about assessing new features, making informed recommendations, and driving system enhancements that scale with the business.Thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments, building scalable systems and processes from scratch with minimal guidance.A hands-on problem solver who values precision and can balance immediate needs with long-term strategic goals.$150,000 / year to $175,000 / year benefits equityThe salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise.
